As in recent years, we are offering an opportunity for Scouts to practice their orienteering and navigation skills and if required to receive guidance from the organising committee. The first few hours will be based on the Navigator award Stage 3, followed by a 2 hour route off the fell to practice navigation further afield. Orienteering maps will be provided, but you need to bring your own compasses and OL41 maps for the Trough of Bowland. Please come dressed to suit the weather conditions for the fell and bring a packed lunch and warm drink. Any further information can be obtained by emailing email@example.com
Date – Saturday 1st February 2020 from 10:15am (100 places) until 3:15pm
Venue – Beacon Fell car park on the right just past the main visitor centre. Register in the Environment Room of the Visitor Centre (on left hand side as you enter the building)
Cost – £3 per Scout
Event limit – 100 places
Please Note: Please try to make block bookings as much as possible, due to the charge levied against each transaction? e.g. 10 bookings for 1 Scout would cost £5 whereas 1 booking for 10 Scouts only costs 50p!
