Our next event is to offer an opportunity for Scouts to practice their camping and navigation skills and if required to receive guidance from the organising committee. The plan will be to book in and pitch tents shortly after arriving. We then check that the Scouts know how to operate their stoves and then they plot Saturday afternoon’s route onto their maps – you need to bring your own compasses and OL41 maps for the Trough of Bowland. There will be a walk on Saturday afternoon with a Leader, Saturday evening the Scouts will plot the Sunday route onto their maps and on Sunday the Scouts will walk in their teams on a mini Bowlander experience. The Scouts will cook for themselves over the weekend. A kit list and further information (including health form) can be found on the Bowlander page of the Scout section webpages. Any further information can be obtained by emailing email@example.com
